Clean-energy tax credits to include Monroe firm

MONROE — Ventower Industries is to receive a share of the recent $2.3 billion in clean-energy tax credits that President Obama released from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Ventower is to receive $2.5 million in tax credits to help it become a full-service manufacturer and supplier of wind turbine towers for industrial-scale use.

Federal officials said 183 projects in 43 states are being funded.
